1 lb GROUND TURKEY
1 c onion, chopped
1/2 c celery, chopped
2 tsp garlic, minced
1 tbsp chili powder
1 tbsp lemon juice
1-1/2 tsp sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp pepper
1/2 tsp cumin
1/4 tsp salt
1/4 tsp allspice
1/8 tsp ground cloves
2 bay leaves
2 c Water
1 Can (15-1/2 oz) kidney beans, rinsed and drained
1 Can (15 oz) tomato sauce
8 oz spaghetti, cooked according to package instructions, drained
1/2 c shredded non-fat Cheddar cheese
1/2 c onion, chopped
In large non-stick skillet, over medium-high heat, saute ground turkey, onions, celery, and garlic until meat is no longer pink. Drain and return mixture to skillet.
Stir in chili powder, lemon juice, sugar, cinnamon, pepper, cumin, salt, allspice, cloves, bay leaves, water, kidney beans, and tomatoe sauce. Bring to boil.
Reduce heat and simmer 30 minutes or until thickened; remove and discard bay leaves. Serve over spaghetti, garnished with cheese and onions.
