1 lb ITALIAN TURKEY SAUSAGE, casings removed, crumbled into small pieces
1 c chopped sweet onion
1 c chopped sweet bell peppers, seeds and ribs removed
1 (26-oz) container tomato pasta sauce
2 c uncooked instant rice
Over medium heat, brown sausage and onions in a large nonstick skillet, breaking sausage into small pieces with the back of a large wooden spoon. Cook until sausage is cooked through and onions are soft, about 7-8 minutes.
Add pepper strips, pasta sauce and 1-3/4 cups water. Stir in rice and mix well. Bring to a boil. Immediately, cover and reduce heat to low.
Simmer 10-15 minutes or until all the liquid is absorbed.
