Leftover turkey? Let’s make a pie! BBQ turkey pizza puts those extras to good use by bringing new flavors to the table. Plus, who doesn’t love pizza?
2 c turkey cooked, shredded
3/4 c bottled barbecue sauce
1 prepared pizza crust
1 c mozzarella cheese, grated
1/4 c parmesan cheese, grated
1/2 red onion, thinly sliced
1 green bell pepper, diced
2 tbsp olive oil
Preheat the oven to 450°F.
In a small bowl combine turkey and barbecue sauce.
Brush or drizzle olive oil over the entire pizza crust.
Distribute the turkey evenly on top of the crust.
Layer onions, peppers and then mozzarella cheese on top of the turkey.
Bake for 6-8 minutes on a pizza pan, sheet pan or pizza stone until the cheese melts and the crust is crisp and golden.
Remove from the oven and sprinkle with parmesan cheese.
Serve immediately.
