1 lb GROUND TURKEY
1/4 c tomato paste with Italian herbs
1 tsp Italian seasoning
4 (1-oz) slices Provolone cheese
4 Hamburger buns, split and toasted
4 to 8 fresh basil leaves, washed and dried
In a medium bowl, gently mix turkey, tomato paste, seasoning and 1/4 teaspoon each salt and black pepper. Shape into four (4-ounce) patties. Preheat grill or broiler for direct cooking.
Cook burgers, 4-inches from the heat source, turning once, until the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees F.
During last 2 minutes of grill time, top each burger with 1 slice cheese.
To serve, place each burger on bottom half of bun and top with basil leaves.
