1 tbsp unsalted butter
1 tsp olive oil
1 large, Walla Walla sweet onion, sliced thin
4 each TURKEY BRATWURST or TURKEY HOT DOG
4 oz cream cheese, softened
4 each hot dog buns
In a medium heavy skillet, heat butter and oil until the butter melts.
Stir in sweet onions and reduce temperature to low.
Cook, stirring occasionally, until onions are soft and golden, about 18-20 minutes.
Meanwhile, grill bratwurst or hot dogs over direct heat until the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees F.
Spread 1 ounce softened cream cheese on each bun.
Top with brat/dog and caramelized onions. Serve immediately.
