Nothing warms up a cold day like a bowl of turkey chili! This easy turkey chili recipe lets the slow cooker do the work and pairs perfectly with lean ground turkey or turkey leftovers. We recommend plenty of corn chips for scooping up your chili and adding some extra crunch.
1 lb turkey (ground & skillet-cooked OR oven-roasted & diced to ¼ inch)
1 ½ c turkey broth (sub with vegetable broth if needed)
2 (15.5 oz) cans great northern beans, drained
1 (16 oz) can garbanzo beans, drained
3/4 c onions, chopped
2 tsp fresh garlic, minced
1 (4 oz) can mild green chilies, chopped and drained
3 tbsp fresh jalapeños, chopped fine
1 tbsp light chili powder
2 tsp ground cumin
For Serving
Shredded cheddar or pepperjack cheese
Corn chips
Green onions, sliced thin
Sour cream
Add main ingredients to the slow cooker and stir to combine.
Cover and cook on medium heat for at least 4 hours.
Top individual servings with shredded cheese, sour cream and/or green onions as desired. Serve with corn chips - we like scoops for maximum...scoopage, but any variety will do.
