Avocado toast…so easy, so basic, so delicious. Turkey bacon is the perfect addition to this cult favorite breakfast or snack. Don’t be afraid to stack it tall with additional toppings listed below.
2 slices turkey bacon, crisp
1 slice sourdough bread
1 ½ tsp butter, soft
1 avocado, shelled and pitted
Kosher salt
Black pepper, freshly ground
Garlic powder
Extra virgin olive oil
Optional toppings:
Fresh or pickled radishes
Pea sprouts
Sesame seeds
Balsamic glaze
Fresh sliced tomatoes
Sun-dried tomatoes
Everything bagel seasoning
Sunflower seeds
Toasted pine nuts
Feta cheese
Pan fry strips of bacon until they reach desired crispiness. Set aside.
Butter both sides of the bread, then pan sear each side until golden brown.
In a bowl, smash the pitted avocado with a fork.
Add desired seasonings and mix until well blended.
Spread avocado mixture over the toasted bread.
Sprinkle salt and freshly ground black pepper.
Drizzle with extra virgin olive oil.
Arrange the crisped turkey bacon and other desired toppings on the top of the avocado mixture, and serve.
